Fang Quai Project

The Fang Quai Project is a historical tradition within the CADRE program at SJSU. This project aims to create a cube that rewards students in the CADRE program for their outstanding achievements during their time at school. The cube itself conceals a secret message, presented as a puzzle. The recipient of the reward is encouraged to embark on a final mission—to decipher the hidden message on their own.

I participated in the design and creation of the Fang Quai project in collaboration with Josie Pan in Spring 2023. Our focus for Fang Quai was to explore the play of visual perspective using transparent materials in 3D printing.

Special Thanks to my partner Josie Pan, Professor Andrew Blanton, Professor James Morgan and Professor Steve Durie.
